Our customer in the pharmaceutical industry located in Mirabel, QC mandated CheckPoint Group to provide a solution for their totes storage. The mandate consisted of storing 900 totes measuring 20"x24"x11" in a 735 sq.ft cooler only while maintaining 100% access to all SKUs. Checkpoint Group integrated a very narrow aisle pre-galvanized shelving system (VNA) with a @crownequipment "WAV" order picker. The system offers the client the storage and retrieval of totes up to 195" of working height within 36" rail guided aisles. @checkpointgroup has been called to solve several issues with a customer’s current 5-deep pallet flow system in Rivière-du-Loup, QC. The following video shows the exact same product handled by two systems, the client’s previously installed system on the left and Checkpoint’s newly designed system on the right. Each system resulted in a very different outcome: 1- Faster put-away and retrieval (22 sec. vs 24 sec. cycle time) 2- More versatility with 3 tracks, which allows for different type of pallets to be used 3- Better load distribution which allows handling of heavier products and does not cause product damage 4- More speed control allowing for better flow of products; no damage to system structure and no safety concerns as products come to a smooth stop and are not ejected from the system This successful test lane has resulted in the replacement of the client's existing 74 lanes.
